Just noticed last night that Cafe This Way has a celiac menu upon request. I don't know about bars for gluten free beer, unfortunately.

Cafe This Way has an extensive gluten free menu available upon request... and their gluten free beer is St. Peter's Sorghum.

I'm back from Bar Harbor and definitely found some good gluten free options. Cafe This Way had a fantastic gluten free menu with a gluten free beer. (Thanks for the suggestions Bike ToEat and Molly bh) Side St. Cafe also served New Grist gluten free beer, although their menu was mostly sandwiches. We went there for a drink in the evening and listened to music. The Tamarind Cafe has gluten free english muffins and tortillas for breakfast sandwiches and also sells gluten free snacks and cereals. There is also a natural foods grocery store called A & B Market where you can buy gluten free groceries. We went out to dinner at Burning Tree in Otter Creek. It was an absolutely amazing restaurant. One of their chefs is gluten free so it was really easy for them to recommend menu items to fit my diet. Hope this is helpful to the next gluten free visitor!
