local asparagus

I know about Verrill Farm and Wilson Farm.....anybody seen any at farmers' markets? Siena Farm at Copely today told me they have only a small amount and are trying to get some from Verrill, but not yet.

  1. Pardon my lack of a name, but there was a farm selling their own asparagus in the rain at last week's new Cambridge Center farmer's market. It was good, but a little steeply priced ($8/lb?) We paid about $5 at Verrill this Sunday, and it was thinner and more tender.

      It was Warner farm and I have to say it was about the best I've ever had. They had a choice of organic or not at two different price points. When I arrive at the market I learned they were last getting there because they were out picking asparagus. I opted for organic and it was fantastic.
