Late Sunday Night Downtown

  • t

Going to see South Pacific Sunday night at the Ahmanson. Starts at 1830 and over at 2130. Anything worthwhile open nearby before we head home to La Jolla?
Thanks
Tibby

  1. At that time I think your best bet is Pacific Dining Car. Or if you want Thai, go to Ruen Pair in Thai Town.

    1. Certainly nothing special, but you could swing by Pete's for a burger and some fries (and maybe a glass of wine or two for the non-drivers) if you don't want to make the 1.5 hour trek down south on an empty stomach.

If I recall, Pete's has some interesting late night pizza made on some sort of thin material--tortilla? flatbread? whatever.

      2. Lazy Ox Canteen. Probably something you can't get too much of in La Jolla.

        1. Lazy Ox would be a good choice and is open until midnight.

second all three choices, maybe not in that order.
I'm still trying to figure out how late 2130 is though...

          2. I recall that Full Hose in Chinatown is open quite late, even on Sundays...

I'm sure you mean Full House, but I smiled at the image.

                Of course, "Full HoUse".

I was evidently so burned out last night that I didn't notice the typo...
