Where can I find spiedini in the GTA? Best bets in the Vaughan/Woodbridge area?

  1. What do you mean by "real". If you are talking about lamb/sheep spiedini, then my 2 favourite places are Eddystone Meats (on Eddystone), and Vicentina Meats (near jane and Langstaff).
They both will sell them frozen to you.

there is a butcher on St. Clair West between Christie and Oakwood who makes them.

.....they will make you chicken and beef ones as well.

Totera Meats on Keele and Major Mackanzie in Maple also makes great spiedini, and so does Pinevalley Meats on Tall Grass, and Laconte's are also pretty good.

      2. I saw some Lamb Spiedini at Medium Rare (butcher) near Dundas and Kipling. Haven't tried them though. Pretty sure Frank makes them in house.

        1. There is another word for (I think) the same product - spaducci. I suspect one of these is to do with the Sicilian dialect. I'll ask my SO.

          President's choice have a version ... http://reviews.presidentschoice.ca/65...

Colangelo's on Midland Road sold them. (Probably still do). http://maps.google.ca/maps?ie=UTF8&am...

Peter's in Aurora (Ok , not quite GTA) http://www.petersfoodshop.com/aboutus

We once got them at Bruno's.

The President's Choice spiedini are super salty. The ones my friends bring up to my cottage from some place in Woodbridge have minimal seasonings added.

          2. THE "BEST" SPIEDINI IN TOWN ARE @ MAPLE MEATS AT KEELE AND RUTHERFORD. A FRIEND TOLD ME ABOUT THIS STORE, I VISITED THIS STORE ON THE WEEKEND AND BOUGHT LAMB AND CHICKEN AND BACON SPIEDINI.
THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD. WILL DEFENITALY GO BACK THEY WHERE A HIT WITH MY FAMILY.

            1. Highland Farms...I clipped this for myself a month or so ago - it was in their flyer.
