Panera Bread to open in Seal Beach

Late fall of this year (2010) Panera Bread will open in Seal Beach, in the former Mel's Diner, which was previously The Parasol (a community landmark, Googie style restaurant) for many years.

It will be interesting to see if Panera can make a go at this location, which has a lot of newer-built competition in the same area.

Seal Beach (which borders Los Alamitos nearby close to this location) is in Orange County.

Panera Bread also announced another OC location in Santa Ana, to open in September.
