Full House in Arcadia's buns

Very very briefly -- I'm preoccupied by a certain series-ending episode -- I *must* report that after having dim sum lunch today with my mom at Full House in Arcadia, I was not only very happy with the exceptionally high quality of their food, their buns are just...mindblowing. My mom and I got the sense that the chef there must specialize in Chinese baked goods or something because they had a lot of variations of sweet buns floating around on trays. We took three different bun dishes and good lord they were so incredibly good. The steamed sweet bun dough was just so yeasty and smooth and fine and silky, and the baked bun dough was yeasty and chewy and fine, but lightly crispy on the outside. Mmm, mmm, mmm!!

p.s. Oh yeah, they also had sweet baked buns with a topping of "pineapple" sugary crumb (sorry about the vague description) that was really the (heh) icing on the cake.

They have some lemony ones that are quite tasty. Unfortunately, they tend to run out of my favorites at the most inconvenient times (like when I want them, dammit).

Oooh, I missed a lemony version? Aww, that sounds really good; I love lemon-flavored things.
