Dim Sum in the South Bay

I recognize that it will be inferior to the SGV, but I have an elderly friend who would like to try some, but is not able to stand the crowds in the SGV.

Is there any restaurant in the South Bay, or even the Westside? And, is it worth eating at?

Thanks.

Sea Empress, in Gardena on Redondo Beach Blvd. is actually quite good. It's a very attractive space with a nice variety of dim sum.

Sea Empress in Gardena (in the Marukai shopping center on Redondo Beach Blvd) is reasonably good.

It's busy enough to have a a nice selection everyday (although more on the weekends) but we've never waited more than a few minutes for a table even on weekends (though we tend toward the earlier side). I've found it to be an accessible introduction to dim sum for folks new to the idea.

P V Palace on PCH in Lomita. Not the greatest range of selection but what they have is pretty decent.

Seconding this place. I have only been here for dinner, but I have a friend who works in the area (who's from Guangdong, and goes here all the time) who thinks the place is very good.
