Review: Slaviya (Adams Morgan)

So Left Bank on 18th St. recently reopened as Slaviya, which is mostly a bar but also serves a wide array of Eastern European dishes. I went there for drinks with a Slovenian friend and she was quite impressed. I thought the decor was kind of awesome, the wait staff was friendly despite my expectation that they would be pretentious, and the menu actually offers some pretty interesting dishes: Serbian burgers, various spreads (I sampled a roasted vegetable spread which was just okay but was served with a large serving of tasty bread), all types of meze-type dishes which I think offer a good alternative to Meze across the street. I wouldn't say this is a destination type of place, but if you're looking for a tapas place in Adams Morgan, it's pretty darn good and you may encounter some new dishes at a reasonable price.

Can anyone compare the food here to either Cosmopolitan Grill or Balkan Grill in Alexandria?
