  1. I love Hida beef personally. My favorite next to Yonezawa beef. That said, I do like a good hangar steak...

A bit late in replying to your post. Did you go? If so, what did you end up getting?

    1. I too am eagerly awaiting news on how Two Rooms is in comparison to say Beacon or Lawry's or NY Grill or Ruth's Chris...

      1. hi guys, yes i went. i just wanted to check the name of the beef i ordered, but it appears they changed the menu. as far as i remember i got 180g hida beef which was insane. i cannot really give a good comparison to the other steak shops as too much time passed between going there and going to two rooms...but... i guess two rooms was best. also, the location is fantastic and the view from the terrace is amazing.

all together two rooms became one of my favorite shops. then again, it was one of my last days in tokyo, weather was perfect and i was sitting outside in the most charming company drinking a lot of roederer... so my judgement may be tainted.

Nice! I usually get Hida beef when I'm in Takayama but good to know of a source in Tokyo. One of many I'm sure...

            Hi Notorious,

So for Tokyo what are your go-to places for top-quality Wagyu? And do those places serve Grade A5? Doumo! :)

You know...I've never actually been to a place like Aragawa or Dons. It's too rich for me to eat a whole steak. I have certainly had a ton of Japanese beef but I don't think I have a spot per se...

Yeah, sorry I can't be of more help on that one. I can tell you what I'd like to do above all else, visit a ranch in Hyogo and sample some freshly slaughtered Gyu. I always saw that on Dotchi No Ryori and wished I could be there.
