Wherever you go, you will absolutely need a reservation. I would exclude places that do not take them, for a Saturday during graduation season. (If you are planning ahead for a visit in the summertime, things will be more relaxed after the schools clear out.)

Where in Boston are you going to be? And it would help if you could narrow down the type of food you're looking for. "all kinds" could get you a great recommendation in the North End, or a terrific vegan joint, or a seafood shack (Belle Isle is technically in Boston)
