i'd love a recommendation for a family-friendly restaurant in south norwalk. taking the family to stepping stones museum, looking for somewhere to eat nearby afterward (on a sunday, if that matters). thanks!

  1. We had a great lunch at SoNo Bakery in April, with a two year old in tow. Several other tables had children. Seating is somewhat limited, but if you can get a table, you can have a lovely lunch here and it's very reasonably priced for what it is.

On a different occasion, we had lunch at the Ginger Man. That was also very good, and there were lots of kids there at lunch time.

If you don't mind casual, try Burger Bar & Bistro next to the cinemas on North Main St.

    2. Interested in the replies......I am also looking for a place in that area for a group dinner! Probably need a place that will take a reservation for a late Sunday afternoon dinner for a party of about 10-12

Try tapas, nice vibe. Not sure what else is open on Sundays...

Barcelona also has 50% off wine on Sunday nights.

agree with barcelona for a group dinner. They handle large groups very well.

Add me to the Barcelona recommenders. And yes they are open on Sundays and have the best deals on Sundays...tapas can be purchased as a group for a great price and wine is 50% (i think that's the number) off.

          2. I'll second the Burger Bar recommendation and also add Fat Cat Pie Company. Not sure if the latter is considered SoNo, but it's 1 mniute from Stepping Stones.

            1. Kid-Friendly, Good Food, lots of room and caring food & wine knowlegable staff/owners. Reasonably priced.

Also, second Barcelona but could be loud and Match restuarant but not surethey can accomadate your party w/o a reservation.

Strada 18...they have pizza for the kids, good food and a great wine program

              2. Strada 18 is my favorite restaurant in the area.
