Local source for Sea Beans/Sea Asparagus/Salicornia?
So my mother went to pick seaweed with a bunch of her friends and came back with a bag of Sea beans. Wow! This stuff is delicious! Now I'm wondering if I can pick some up at a local store instead of planning a huge trip to the coast.
Any ideas where I can find this wonderful new-to-me vegetable? In bulk? Bonus points for stores in the Bellevue area.
Thanks in advance!

I bought them (and some fiddlehead ferns) at the Bellevue farmer's market (Thursday afternoon). They also had gret morels. According to the owner of the stall, he'll have them again next week

re: robca
Thanks so much for this tip. I was able to make it to the farmer's market this last Thursday and saw that the seabeans were selling for $10/lb. So I think I will go ahead and make the trip out to the coast as it seems it would be quite worth it. I believe my mom brought home about 5lbs last time, and she said there was quite a bit more, so we may even have to get a stall when we get back! :o)

The "Foraged and Found" booth at the University Farmer's Market had a huge pile of them last Saturday.

Oh, gosh, I don't know the name of the guy but the "mushroom man" from Arlington who sells at farmers' markets has them on occasion. I also saw them at Sosio's Produce at Pike Place Market recently, I believe.
