Any gourmet food trucks...that cater?

I have a party coming up in August and am thinking of fun catering ideas. Then someone suggested hiring one of those gourmet food trucks to do a party. Just curious if anyone out there has done this, and if so, who, what, how much per person, and how was your experience?

Border Grill would be my vote. Susan Feniger is one of the finalists on Top Chef Masters. She just won the "Tailgating" challenge at USC this week with her "Carne Asada" tacos.

There is the Dim Sum Truck which was written up on this board. I have looked at their website and it appears they cater.

I would call Piaggio on wheels. [phone] . Piaggio used to own the Gaucho Grill in Brea, he is very professional and can adjust the menu to meet your needs. Good Luck! Post your experience, whomever you use.

Almost all do catering you just need to negotiate a price.

My company just rented the Border Grill truck, not sure of the cost. But I think it depends on the menu items and how many people.

The food was good, the service was excellent.

You'll have to contact each truck individually, but I've seen "closed for private party" or "in for private event" on pretty much every truck's schedule at some point or another. I know I just saw it on the Vizzi Truck's site.

I'm pretty sure that I read that Kogi does do catering. But price is high, something like $1500 just to rent the truck, before food, IIRC. Give them a call.
