Looking for an Oakland restaurant that will accommodate 35 people
I'm looking for a restaurant in Oakland (preferably in the Uptown, Downtown, Jack London Square, or Piedmont Avenue areas) that will accommodate 35 people for lunch. My preference is to either have a private room or be able to rent out the entire restaurant space for roughly $3000. In the past, we've used the now defunct Franklin Square in Uptown. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Baywolf on Piedmont might --it advertises up to 32 for private parties.

Bocanova has a private room, but I don't know how big it is. B Restaurant isn't normally open for lunch, but they do private rentals and presumably one could be arranged for lunch.

Try The Terrace Room at the Lake Merritt Hotel. It can handle that number and you get a lake view.

Scott's has several private rooms. Have been to several group lunches with favorable results, good food, good view, great bread.

Dopo on Piedmont Ave doesn't have a private room, but at your price point it is entirely possible that they would open Adesso for you. Call Dopo (Adesso's phone is info only) and ask for Jon or Kayta (Jon's wife). (510) 652-3676.
