Thanks Steph..I've never eaten at Benson's and Gallaghers has always been very nice to us which I think is very important when eating in new york, but maybe we'll try Benson's this time.

Bobby Van's & Capital Grille are both right in that area as well if you'd prefer one of those. i've never been to either one, just throwing them out there based on location.

Good to know that BLT Steak is good...we're doing a birthday dinner at BLT Prime when we come to town next month. It's easier proximity to Village Vanguard since we're catching a show there afterward.

the BLT's get debated the same way most steakhouses do. many of us (including me) love them, but they have their critics as well. my family has been eating at BLT Steak & BLT Prime for years and the food and service have always been excellent. HOWEVER, none of us has been back since Laurent Torondel's recent departure, and i have no idea if the owners will make any changes now that he's gone.
