Cape May, NJ - Help me get up to speed.

  • 1

Sorry, posted this in mid-atlantic yesterday not realizing there is a dedicated NJ board now. Anyway...

My wife and I are going to Cape May at the end of July/beginning of August.
We used to go regularly, but it's been about 4 years since we were there last.

Anything new and noteworthy? Any downhill alerts?

When we go down we'll have 3 almost 2 year olds and will also be with my sister's family and her two kids (6 and 2). So, we'll be a big bunch with kids.

We'll probably mostly cook in, but there will be some nights we want to go out. We'll probably also set aside nights were we can just go out as couples while the others stay "at home" with the kids.

So, if there's anything new and noteworthy or anything to now avoid let me know.

We were big fans of Lucky Bones - if nothing has changed will probably stop there for lunch before checking in.

We've enjoyed Cucina Rosa, Godmother's, The Blue Pig, Frescoes, etc.
Breakfast at mad batter and bill's pancake house. We pretty much enjoy anything from ultra casual like Carney's to a nicer place like the Blue Pig, so that doesn't really matter.

I guess just mostly looking for updated opinions on what's good and what isn't.

  1. Try the Mad Batter for dinner - my husband and I love it there for breakfast which it's most known for but the entrees there are excellent too! We spend a week in Cape May every July.
