CUCCINA PICA RELLI, LONG BEACH

Anyone experience this fairly new eatery yet on Clark & Anaheim St. Looks like a neat little place with porch dining and off street parking convenient to the Long Beach Playhouse.

  1. I haven't yet, but it looks like it's building up a clientèle. When I drive by now, I see a full parking lot and a valet. My SigO has a client who has gone and says it's quite good. But when I do go, I'll be sure to report on my findings.

Four of us tried Picarelli's last night. Suggest reservations. Ate inside, great service, tasty food from an extensive moderately priced menu. WE had very nice salads. spinach ravioli, chicken picata, seafood pasta and lasagna and everyone had good things to say. Fairly good size portions. Bread leaves a bit to be desired ( teenie tiny loafs )not hot, served with olive spread. Nice bar and dessert selection.

    2. I love this place. The owner greats everyone and makes you family quickly. The chopped salad is great and they will make Puttenesca pasta if you ask. I also love the tomato soup when they have it. Eveything I have had has so far is very good.
