Bachlorette party dinner in Napa/St. Helena recommendations

I am organizing a bachlorette party for my sister and her 7 friends in Napa/St. Helena area and would like some recommendations on restaurants to go to. We aren't looking for anything too upscale e.g. Ad Hoc but we would like a nice restaurant with decent menu items but won't break the bank. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

Nicole

Anyone have an opinion on Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen?

I second the recommendation for Market. The food has been very good for a while now. I hear Go Fish is better but was uneven. If you are looking for the most "wine country experience", you'll enjoy the upper valley. I'm not sure about Brix these days but if the food is good and reasonable that might be a good choice, just above Yountville.

You might try Market or Go Fish in St. Helena, or in Napa, Celadon or Bistro Don Giovanni. All are friendly to groups, moderately priced with very good food. Enjoy our valley!

Thanks for the suggestions, I was thinking about taking them to BarbersQ. . .have you been there? They're all from Texas and big fans of BBQ.

BarbersQ is Kansas City-style BBQ if that makes a difference to them.

Bistro Don Giovanni is a fun restaurant with a great atmosphere/interior, reasonably priced, with good food. It is not the destination restaurant that some have said it is, so as long as you don't go in with sky-high expectations for the food, it could be fun.

I wouldn't bring people from Texas who are big fans of that BBQ to BarbersQ.

Interesting, it got good reviews, but not so good huh?

Thanks for the tip. We are going to be wine tasting all day, so chances are great atmosphere will be more important than food. Will look into booking it.

If you want atmosphere, definitely don't go to BarbersQ. I've been a number of times and I like it, but first, it's not up to the level of BBQ as people from Texas will want, and 2) it's literally in a grocery store parking lot, so if you're looking for nice Wine Country atmosphere, you couldn't get farther from that.
