Need restaurant for group in Toronto

I have a group of around 30 people who work in advertising & design. The group travels a lot and will have been to lots of places. I need to organize a dinner for them on a Saturday night in June in Toronto. I'm looking for a restaurant that is cool - but that still knows how to manage a large group. With good food and atmosphere. Ideally the group would meet for drinks in a bar area followed by dinner. Don't want the dinner portion of the night to be too "formal". Any suggestions much appreciated!

What about the Drake Hotel? Since you have a large group, call ahead and arrange for special menu (if possible). They have a nice bar, nice atmosphere, nice ambience. I take it turns into a lounge at night for the public. Worth a call : )

If you can book off a section of czehoski I would recommend it. Good place to have drinks and great atmosphere on Saturday night. The reviews are mixed on the board here but I have had some great meals there. The prices are very reasonable.

put me solidly in the 'nay' side of the czehoski experience and i certainly wouldn't want to trust them with my group. be careful of your event coinciding with the g-20 and in the red zone and also that it is a saturday night. advertising and design people might enjoy the drake, mildred's temple kitchen, nota bene, globe bistro

Agree on the Drake or Nota Bene. Czehoski is a single's bar with pub food imho. But maybe that's what the OP wants?
