Anyone know where in our fair city I can find a proper coconut cream pie? Can't find one anywhere. Thanks!

Not sure if this is adequate or what you're looking for but Costco has a decent coconut cream pie.

They had them on sale last week.

    Good luck on your quest.

Have you checked Little Pie Company? I remember seeing it at one of their stores, but it was a while ago -- they rotate flavors, IIRC.

I had a small coconut cream pie from LPC several months ago. It wasn't the best I've ever had (Etta's in Seattle wins that one), but it was good. Then again, I also have no idea what the OP means by "proper".

Do not know what you mean by proper but Umanoff and Parsons, possibly?
          Perhaps it is coconut custard.
Their retail store should be open.
          Costco is not good.
2 little red hens will be very expensive, have not had it.
I would hope it is very good, at the least.

Corner Bakery (3rd ave/92 St) often serves an exquisite coconut cream pie in the cafe. Not sure if their retail outlet on 93rd and 3d carries it.
