I've been looking for the past week and haven't seen it - only white sesame seeds. Anyone know where I can find black sesame seeds? Downtown/Danforth area preferred.
I live in NoCal but just bought toasted black sesame seeds at an Asian market.
I've found them in Little India.
sanko on queen west has them.www.toronto-sanko.com
T and T has it...on Cherry. At least, the last time I went.
Harvest Wagon at Yonge and Summerhill carries them.

I found tham at Taro's Fish on Sheppard Ave East
Kuro goma--black sesame seeds--are usually available at Korean grocers like PAT.
Any chinese grocery store should have them.
Spice Trader sells them.

I have seen them at Whole Foods.
Is there a bulk barn near you? I have purchased mine at the Bulk Barn in Woodbridge.
Any Asian store, Big Carrot and Bulk Barn (where I buy mine)/
I found mine at a spice store in kensington market.
I'm pretty sure I saw them at Galleria, a Korean supermarket with several locations in T.O. Newest location, recently opened, at Yonge & Steeles in what used to be Chapters. Also, a fairly new location at Don Mills & Leslie.
I didn't read everyones reply, but here is mine, quickly, any chinese supermarket. cheers
