Birch Bay/Lynden Weekend

We're headed up this weekend and if I don't have some sort of plan, my husband will have us eating in Richmond BC.

So, any recommendations for the area? We'll be up there for 2 nights.

I have Dutch Mother's Restaurant in Lynden on the list. Also Oyster Creek Inn for on our way back down Chuckanut Drive.

Are there reliable vendors I can pick up dungeoness crab from in the town/village of Birch Bay? What are the more palatable restaurants, even if not chow-worthy?

Thanks in advance.

I'll answer my own question (for future searchers?) since we are now back.

Lynden - Dutch Mother's Kitchen. Farm fresh eggs, local made freezer jams, world-class pies. It was a winner. We were there for breakfast, so we had pretty standard breakfast fare...but it was really done well. And the portions were huge. Like sized for sharing.

Birch Bay - the only place we at was CJ's Beachhouse. Again, top notch food. Best prime rib I've had since the House of Prime Rib in San Francisco. Kids fish and chips were high quality. No complaints about this place at all.

We did check out the sister coffee shop, CJ Wijns (we were staying between the two). That visit was not as successful. Tully's coffees. Pre-packaged pastries. We didn't get to try their menu items though.
