Porcini Restaurant on Sansom Street is excellent, and I don't believe that you need a reservation. I highly recommend the cannoli.

Radicchio, at 4th and Wood. Very good. No reservations.

Tre Scalini does take reservations, and it was difficult to get one the last time I tried on a Saturday night. They could take us early - 6 or before - but not until very late, otherwise.

I 2nd Radicchio. They don't take reservations so be prepared to wait until you go early or late.

I believe that both Melograno and Mercato are no-reservations.

Tre Scalini in South Philly. Hard to imagine the whole place will be booked. The food is really good.
