Downtown Sacramento Restaurants
We are going up to Sacramento for a wedding on Saturday. The rehersal dinner is Friday and we are coming in on Thursday. We are staying at the Citizen and we need a couple of breakfast recs and one dinner rec. Any ideas?
Grange in the Citizen is good at times but inconsistent. Mulvaney's B&L at 19th and L is solid and Tuli Bistro at 21st and S St. is always really good. For Breakfast I like Fox and Goose at 10th and R St.

Got to say that ucmewin's response is dead on. I'd go with Mulvaney's over Tuli but only by a hair. And cant comment on Fox & Goose as I haven't tried it (yet).
For lunch, I'd go with Magpie 1409 R Street #102 (14th & R).

Had a very good breakfast at Fox & Goose last visit due to a reco on this board. Sorry, can't recall what I ordered.

Thanks for all the ideas. A British pub sounds good especially if it is going to be cool this weekend. My sis told me about midtown where I guess Mulvaney's and Tuli are located.

Thanks again for the ideas. we got in late and went to the Grange for dinner. I had duck confit with gnocchis. it was great along with an asperagus cream soup. My s.o. had the fried chicken which she thought was bit underdone but good mashed potatoes. Only got one breakfast in at the Fox and Goose which was a real fun place and the egg dishes were fantastic. good fresh ingredients.
