Sole - New Canaan
Ate here the other night for the first time. Arrived at 7PM and the place was jammed. We had for appetizers the mussels in a curry cream sauce (nice kick to them), and the ceviche. Main courses were the seared tuna and a pizza. Everything was prepared well and the portions were of a good size. The issue with the restaurant is that the noise level is so high, it ruins the meal. We would like to go back again, but will make it on a quieter evening.

We finally made it to Sole last weekend at the urging of my sister. Two thumbs up! Wine list: outstanding. Short ribs with wide noodles: delicious (though EXTREMELY rich). Pan roasted shrimp with polenta and egg: OMG good. Top 100 things I've ever eaten good. My husband enjoyed his food as well (pasta balognese, salad as an app). Though loud, it didn't bother us. From a glass of wine at the bar all the way through our last bite, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Sole has gone through a few chefs over the last couple of years. the new one is very good (a different feedback from the OK by another poster). If you want a quiet 2-top ask for a table in the back which is less noisy.
