went after reading lots of good stuff @ this place. pan fried noodles w/ pork were delicious, steamed pork buns were good, simple fried squid tentacles were, well, as satisfying as one would expect, though i really wanted a side of remoulade. overall a nice meal, but didn't scratch the dim sum itch at all. next time will try king's somethin-or-other in cranston?

good stuff? that is where the asian market is that everyone likes as well, right? that has been on my radar as well.

I have been to both Kings Garden and Lucky Garden in ht last few months based on CH recommendations.....both were good but not great as I had expected. Had dim sum in both spots and it was decent.

I'm with you. It's definitely good. Solid and reliable. But it doesn't blow me away. (I'm still freaked out by the practice of RI chinese restaurants putting dinner rolls on the table.) That said, it's less than 5 minutes from my house, so it works for me :)

@sarabean, yep, the asian market, which has had a few different names but is now called Phu Lam Market, is a block or so up from King's Garden.
