Grapevine area dinner options near Embassy Suitesat Outdoor World

I will be in Grapvine later this coming week and will be looking for good casual dinner options with coworkers. Not worried about cost, but want good food. Want to avoid chains if possible, but not sure if that is possible.

We are staying at the Embassy Suites at Outdoor World. Are there any good options within walking distance? Otherwise, things within a short cab ride is ok.

Thanks,

  1. You should try Hard 8 BBQ, it is very nearby, on Bethel Road and freeport parkway. You pay by the pound, so it can be about $15 or so, but it is worth it. The fries are incredable too.

For Mexican, try El Taco H at 1212 William D. Tate Avenue. Brisket Tacos for only $1.25! Next door is Peace Burger, a bar that has tons of good burgers, if you like something really really spicy, try the Hell burger drenched in Habanero sauce and jalapenos. It is the real thing, your mouth will be afire!

    1. The Big Buck steak house at Bass Pro isn't bad. It is definitly within walking distance. Also, Bass Pro has a sports bar upstairs at the Big Buck. Your hotel has an excellent sports bar (great ruben sandwich).

      1. If you do a search (on this site, of course) for Grapevine, you'll find multiple hits. Grapevine is buried in chains, but there are a several good finds and if you can drive 15 minutes or so, there are more options in Southlake and some in Colleyville on 121 south.

You may also do a search on Lewisville which is 10 min north on 121.
