I had the cask funky brown yesterday and was able to talk about it with Jason Malone, the brewer (one of the nicest and most unassuming guys you'll ever meet). It's very dry with a pleasant sourness, although he wishes it would have been more puckering. To me, the influence of the Orval yeast was more apparent than Rodenbach's

Good People beer is available at a ton of bars and restaurants around town, although I'm not sure what the supply looks like at the moment since they just completed their move and I think started brewing again today. You can see the list here: http://www.goodpeoplebrewing.com/spots
I can't wait until Malone gets the canning line installed and running.

That will be later this summer, at best. It also will be interesting to see how many of the funky beers they'll be brewing until they catch up on the basic brews.
This afternoon, though, J.Clyde is tapping a cash of Good People Brown that has been innoculated with Orval and Rodenbach yeasts.

They are only producing ales right now which I tend to favor anyway. Very good, nice hoppiness. Only available in kegs so you can really only get them at local bars such as J Clyde's, Dave's, etc. If the Brewery Modernization Act passes, we'll see a lot more of them.

You also can get half-gallons of Good People (as well as other high-grav beers) to take home at Highland Package Store (next to Taj India), Vulcan, Dee's Package store on Green Springs and The Bottle Stoppe out northeast of town.
Good People plans to start packaging beer for retail sales once it gets settled in to its new digs.-----
