Interesting cooking site links
I am not sure how chowhound feels about posting links to other sites. Hopefully they don't feel like they are helping their competitors. That's not intended, I assure you.
Well here goes.
I found a very interesting site.
The Cook's Thesaurus is an online encyclopedia for food ingredients.
If any of you have followed my posts, you know that I am a research geek. This site was made just for me. I don't know how they found out about me but they did.
Check it out.
Yeah Yeah, you guys probably already know all about it.
Feel free to post your favorite food site. Although try to be respectful of chowhound. No sites that have great forum boards about home cooking and cookware where you can talk to other cooking geeks about your recipes.

This seems like the perfect thread to share http://www.stilltasty.com, a database of how long foods stay safe to eat. I probably reference this site at least once a week. Since I'm generally only cooking for two people I tend to have lots of left over ingredients hanging out in the fridge and it's nice to have a place to go and confirm that I can still use the ingredients.
