Anyone "Ready for Dessert"? (David Lebovitz)

Saw this at the bookstore and was VERY tempted to buy. Anyone cook from it yet, or have any reviews?

  1. I think it must be great, coming from Lebovitz...I have his earlier books that this is compiled/updated from so...waiting for the library...

    He just launched an iPhone app too, with very few recipes at this point.

      Yeah, that's what the amazon reviews said, but I don't have any of his books. Downloading the iPhone app as we speak. it's free, so why not, right?

        And you are the perfect test case for the book -- ALL the others are great, and this is culled from some of those including (correct me if I'm wrong) the out of print Room For Dessert, which is my favorite of his.

    2. I will definitely buy this book when I get home, and I would also be anxious to hear if anyone else has bought it and what they think.

      1. I have this book, and have so far tried the Red Wine Raspberry Sorbet and the No-Machine Chocolate Banana Ice Cream. Both are absolutely fantastic, and were easy to make! I wrote about both of these recipes on my blog, Recipes That Worked by Mandy Higgins.

        1. I give David 5 stars. This is the fourth book of his I own, and I won't hesitate to purchase any other tome he releases. He is the real deal.
