Nom Nom Truck in NOLA this weekend: get your bahn mi on
The L.A.-based bahn mi truck, aka the Nom Nom Truck, will be in NOLA this weekend only. Find it (and a Food Network TV crew) in the parking lot of Pinkberry on Magazine St from noon to 8 pm, Sat & Sun (across the street from Whole Foods). The Nom Nom Truck sells bahn mi, Vietnamese tacos, and a few other items.....as seen recently in Saveur and Travel & Leisure.

Anybody find the elusive Nom Nom truck? Just got back from a third trip to Pinkberry lot in two days; no signs or sightings.

re: urbandog
Also took a trip out to Frenchmen tonight, thinking maybe they opted for that as there didn't appear to be any place for the truck to park near Pinkberry, but nothing there either.
[Something strange about these chow post times. They post as two hours earlier than they actually are. I posted my earlier post at 7:34 p.m., not 5:34. Between 7 and 7:15, we were at the Pinkberry lot.]

re: Hungry Celeste
The truck was outside of the Spotted Cat on Saturday. We were going to Frechman to listen to music anyway so I figured I would give it a shot.
At 1045p I asked the girl in the truck what time they would be open until. She confirmed it would be 1a. At around 1215a I left the club to get some food but they were closing up and wouldnt serve me!
How was it?

re: NYNO
Visiting from San Francisco and found the Nom Nom truck on Frenchman Sat night. Unfortunately they closed up the truck early due to some schedule changes and I missed out on getting some food.
The ladies were supposed to be at Pinkberry Sunday during the day, but plans changed. Even the people at Pinkberry did not have any updates on when the truck would arrive. Finally was able to catch the truck late Sunday night before they had to leave town.
All I can say it was well worth the hunt to track down the truck. Had my sampling of various menu items. Not only is food one of the best, the ladies of the Nom Nom truck are wonderful people.
From one foodie to another, I hope they win the food truck competition. Good luck to the ladies and safe travels on your road trip.
