Maine Diner: Over it! Used to love the seafood chowdah and lobster roll. So very tired. The chowder was days old considering the texture of the seafood and one little potato, which normally wouldn't be a problem, but the shellfish texture was lost in a vat of chowder. The lobster roll was highway rubbery. That buggah was definately cooked at least a day or two ago and was dismally reheated to its tired chewy lackluster self. Poor ting. Even the chips and pickle seemed tired and old.

98 Provence: The mussels were a kitchen miss. Lovely flavours, but didn't make it to the table bubbling hot but barely lukewarm which didn't mesh with the ingredients. Done proper it would have been wonderful. The loin of veal was wonderful. The loin of beef was wonderful. The place still has it going on!!!

LobsterShackPerkinsCove: The lunch special of lob roll and fish chowdah made up for the Maine Diner. Sweet and properly handled lobster and just the most very basic and classic fish chowder. First time to order steamers here, and they were sweet and wonderful. We didn't get our favourite chili dog, but that is a go to meal for many years and is never a dissappointment.

Hope that helps someone. Also a couple of interesting places in Kbunkport for future stays.

  1. Ohhh! And Joshua's. This place is so easy to recommend. Great bread, daily cosmo with fresh products for the drink special. We had the always amazing haddock and a pasta vegetarian special - both perfectly prepared. Love this place!
