Great Places to Sit at the Bar
Sometimes I just like to sit a the bar, have a nice craft brewed beer or a nice glass of wine and order off the menu. Whether it's just a burger or a steak dinner, I find that most bartenders are very attentive and provide excellent service and make me feel well taken care of. I also like the action at the bar.
Some of my fav spots, to name a few, are Donovan's in LJ, The Palm, Georges, Ritual and Bully's for an old school touch.
What are yours?

Nice cocktails at the Urban Solace bar tonight. Some sorta fancy-schmancy apple vodka, roasted orange syrup, orange bitters, st-germain, fresh citrus.
I don't typically go for these things, (just give me the vodka, thanks) but I enjoyed it- perfect fall season drink.

re: foodiechick
Prevailed, nothing.
I was trying to decide where our evening pre-dinner cocktail would be when It hit me like a Tweet straight from Urban Solace- a siren's song of cocktail. I'd had a similar drink last month at Bouchon and been a-hankering for something like it. Fit the bill perfectly.
US was not busy at the bar, (it was early) and Baleen was not busy at all (shame) so we also had our evening free of the crowds and noise.

Cowboy Star - my only experience there was at the bar, and it was great.
Agreed on Ritual as well.
