Birthday dinner restaurant needed:

- good ambiance (not too loud)
- comfy seating (older relatives)
- great food, upscale
- easy parking: either valet or lot
- Boston area...not suburbs
- full bar

Send me your thoughts...Thanks!

Try the Bristol Lounge at the Four Seasons. Not sure about the parking but I'd bet there's valet, and it meets all the other criteria for you. Have fun!

I'd highly recommend Troquet, especially for their wine list, which is arguably the best in Boston. Get a table near the windows in front.

I had some langoustines there recently, which were amazing (cooked inside a crispy egg roll wrapper).

My suggestions would be Asana in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Le Troquet or Scampo in the Liberty Hotel although Scampo can get a bit loud when they are busy.

I second Scampo - great food, great room, great service and valet parking.
