Question About Jalapeños

I've got a question regarding jalapenos. I'm growing some for the first time. I bought them at Home Depot about three weeks ago when they were about 4" high. I bought them on a whim because the plants looked so pretty and I thought it would be interesting to see if I could make a go of it. Now they are about twice that size and are even more gorgeous. bright, shiny green leaves. My question is, when can I expect to see the actual peppers start to grow?

Peppers like hot weather. So be patient and they will flower when the weather gets warmer. Leave a few on the plant so they turn red and see how different they taste. I have 4 this year and Thai dragon peppers. I'm going to try my hand at a hot sauce using both! Check the forum on garden web.

They need to flower first - where the flowers are, the peppers will be.

You can probably get more details by asking this on the Gardening board.
