Bellevue or Trinity Road, Wandsworth [London]

I'm looking for a restaurant for an informal birthday dinner near home. Has anyone been to any of the restaurants in and around Bellevue Road that are not Chez Bruce? There's a Brinkleys and a Cafe du Village. Any South Londoners have any views?

We live very close to there and have enjoyed both Brinkleys and Cafe du Village, the latter being our family's choice. There is also the County Arm pub further up Trinity Road. The food there is excellent, as is the atmosphere.

Thanks, that is very helpful for the future. It's this evening, and we have booked Lola Rojo.

How was your meal? we were rather disappointed last time we went, but that was a year ago I think. It still seems to do a roaring trade!

It seems to have improved again. I also went a year or so and was disappointed but we enjoyed it on Saturday. Two caveats: it was noisy (but then so were we) adn there were very few vegetable dishes. The deep fried artichokes with chive foam was very good though, as were the garlic prawns. Also excellent wine for under £20.
