Best Restos Near Texas Motor Speedway
Headed out to the track in a few weeks and was wondering if there's any good chow to be had in that vacinity? Babe's Chicken in Roanoke has already been brought to my attention.
Thanks.

Heard about this German restaurant in Roanoke called Gerhard's. Haven't been but a few reviews sounded pretty good (search around, there's more info on them on DFW board)
http://www.pegasusnews.com/news/2010/...I believe Twisted Root (burgers) and Cowboy Chow (American) opened locations out there as well.
Otherwise I'd suggest driving to FW, Grapevine, or up to Denton, and understandable if you're not inclined to do so. This question could have gotten more responses if it were in the DFW forum!

You might head on into Grapevine and try something at Tolbert's ;).
D Mag recently did a rundown of best bbq in the whole area; I haven't been through the whole list but you might find one reasonably close to TMS.

Well, it's not close to the speedway but it's in Fort Worth and it's well worth the drive - Fred's Texas Cafe. The burgers there are wonderful!!!
