Blini Czar - Bay and Wellesley
I was driving along Bay yesterday for the first time in ages. I noticed that more or less across from the church on Bay where they are building the new condos a saw a sign for this placed called "Blini Czar". I was going to try to dig up some info today but then I was checking out the variety of "daily deal" websites and noticed that Teambuy has there stuff on today. I can't find a website for Blini Czar or any reviews at this point but on the Teambuy site there is more detailed info so I will copy and paste here for future reference. Has anyone been yet? Seems like something original...
1. Vegetarian Blini- $6.25
2. Grilled Chicken Blini- $7.25
3. Grilled Lamb Blini- $7.25
4. Grilled Turkey Blini- $8.55
5. Grilled Salmon Blini- $9.95
6. Organic Honey and Roasted Pecans Blini- $5.75
7. Chocolate Almond Blini- $7.75
8. Strawberry Chocolate Blini- $6.75
There are some pics on the Teambuy site too... It doesn't seem like much food considering what they regular prices are.

I just heard from a Teambuy e-mail that this place has been evicted! Not sure if it was actually "evicted" or just a notice of rent owing was posted or what....Geez, that place didn't last long at all. Sounded interesting, too bad I didn't get a chance to use my voucher (but, it seems that Teambuy is making good on the pre-purchases although they have explained the details yet.

I walked by yesterday after work and noticed that it was closed. No signs were up to indicate that it had been shut down. Then received the email from Team Buy today also.
I don't think it lasted much more then a month. I am really not that surprised. I had actually been thinking that I should use up my voucher before the place closes, however looks like I was too slow. Glad that Team Buy seems to be making good of a bad situation.

Looks like its too new to be on google street maps; is it more of a dine-in place or do they do takeout?

re: Shimso
I found this video linked on the deal site... It will give you an idea of the setup.. Looks more like a casual "take out" or "dine in" spot... (counter service)

I went there the first week they opened (about a month ago now I believe). I enjoyed the meal and found it to be a nice fresh tasting option for lunch. I had the grilled chicken blini and my friend had the lamb blini.
Friend ended up getting dessert and said that it wasn't worth it. It tasted good but seemed too expensive for what you got.
Also, when we went (hopefully they have changed this) the pop was the Kirkland brand. If you are going to charge me $1.50 for a can of pop, you can at least give me a real can of coke or pepsi.
Thanks for letting me know about team buy that is a good deal.
