Rec. for Graduation Lunch

My nephew will be graduating law school in San Francisco and we are looking to for a place to have lunch. Can anyone recommend a affordable location ($12-$25) per person for entrees? I tried to look up the top 38 places in SF on EATER SF but many of the places we were interested in were closed on Tuesday for lunch. I appreciate any recommendations you can provide.

Thanks!

Which law school is he graduating from?

If Hastings or SF School of Law, Zuni.

If USF, your options are a bit more limited, as I'm assuming you want a place that takes reservations (if that's not important, the Alembic and Cha Cha Cha could be good bets).

Boulevard, Perbacco, Tadich, and Town Hall are all good options within 4-5 blocks. For a special occasion like this, I would probably go with Boulevard.

Perbacco is also the only one of those that doesn't close between lunch and dinner, which could be useful

You might consider RN74, Rajat Parr's newish place in the Millenium Tower. It's part of the Michael Mina group. Innovative, fun and not too formal.

See if this works. The menu changes with what is fresh but some things probably haven't
changed since April 18 1906 except the prices.

Note that Tadich doesn't take reservations, so you might have a wait for a table.
