A bunch of Price Chopper stores in Brampton and Mississauga were converted to a new concept called Freshco, and they launch today. If anyone up there gets a chance to stop in, I would appeciate knowing what they are like. Wondering if it would be worth the drive?

  1. Have not been to one yet, but I understand that they are aiming to be an upgrade on the Price Chopper and yet a step down from a Sobeys.

    1. FreshCo is an attempt to replicate the success of No Frills in addressing the buying habits of certain demographic groups. If you would be willing to drive to the burbs to go to one of these No Frills (and if you haven't, you really should at least once for the experience) then by all means FreshCo would be worth the drive as well.

      1. Saw the sign and was hoping it might be some kind of focused supermarket on organic or local produce... bummer, it's just a name that makes it sound that way.
