Pecan Pie in DC/NoVa?

yfunk3 May 12, 2010 06:48 AM

Friend is visiting this weekend and I inadvertently made her crave pecan pie. Was wondering which restaurants have it, besides the typical southern ones (I am guessing Creme on U Street and Georgia Browns)?

Would be great if they served it at lunch as well.

Thanks in advance!

The pecan pie at Dangerously Delicious Pies is great, but I'm not sure it's exactly what you're looking for in terms as of pie as something to end a meal with. Also, they rotate flavors, so I'm not sure they have it every day.

I keep reading reviews of Vidalia mentioning it - I plan to check it out when I'm in town.

I love pecan pie and I must say Vidalia has one of the best I've ever had. Not sure if they have it at lunch.

They do have it at lunch, and I do have to agree that it is an amazing pecan pie.

Kramerbooks actually has a pretty good pecan pie.

Why not make it for her? Pecan pie has like 4 ingredients and is really hard to screw up if you have a decent recipe and I am sure you can find a good recipe online.
