Lamb roast
I know it may be a crime, but I got a 3-4 lb. lamb roast on the cheap and want to cook it in the crock pot...any good ideas for me? I've only done a few lamp chops on the grill before...not cooked much lamb.

What kind of lamb roast? I wouldn't hesitate to use a lamb shoulder that way.

Nor would I. Chop an onion, some garlic, a tomato,.. salt & pepper the roast. Throw in a few thyme, sage and rosemary leaves and toss the meat in the seasonings. Set the cooker on low and cook for ?? till done to your liking. I'd be tempted to add some Worcestershire sauce along the way too.

And brown it first after rubbing in the dry seasonings.

Thanks, I think it's a shoulder. Was thinking of starting when I left for work tomorrow.

A lamb shoulder in a crock pot makes a beautiful greek inspired slow cooked lamb. Insert slivers of garlic all over then I agree with c oliver, do brown your meat. Then I sit the lamb shoulder on a deep bed of green beans (other vegetables can be nice too, just think greek veg cooked in tomato sauce), add tinned diced tomatoes and/or your favourite pasta sauce ( i like to use a good arabiata or puttanesca plus a tin of tomatoes), onions I have browned, fresh oregano.
Serve with crumbled feta and chiffonade of mint and rice or nice bread.
So good.
