I did a search, but don't know if the recs still apply :) Perfect time for an update!
Me think all places that take reservations will be full other places will packed beyond imagination.
Better to go home, prepare a real good BBQ and get a nice bottle of wine with that; and watch the game.
Thanks everyone! I went to Benelux and thoroughly enjoyed it :)
I was at Lobbybar last week and the ambiance is great. But make sure you get a reservation because the place was packed. The food they serve is ok - they have pizzas and wings and a few other things. This place is on Papineau corner Mont-Royal.
Wherever you go, get there early! 5 or 5:30 downtown - even small neighbourhood places were packed by 6 or 6:30 last game 7. Go Habs Go!
Does anyone know of Le Pistol takes reservations on game nights - or if it's still open? Word on the street is that it closed down???
Pistol closed and is replaced by "Big in Japan" a Japanese "fast food" (I know there is a "real" jap. word for that kind of restaurant, but I can't find it).
Reviews are so-so (on chowhound).
I think the word your looking for is Isakaya.
Sad :( I loved their sandwiches!
