Best (quickish) weekday lunch option near FXE (Ft Laud Exec Airport)?
We will be en route from FLL, prob only 30 min to eat so takeout or quick dine-in. Cuban, Latin, fish, Florida food of greatest interest.

Jet Runway Cafe, located at 5540 Northwest 21st Terrace, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33309, is a great breakfast/lunch place. The dining room overlooks the Executive airport, you can watch planes take off and land. Food is pretty much upscale diner-ish, as is pricing. I think they're open from 7:20 to about 2 or 3 in the afternoon.
If you can't eat on the beach, watching the ocean, you might as well eat overlooking the airplanes doing their thing.

Grano de Mostaza is right outside FXE....I work around the corner and we've used them to cater. They are Venezuelan, their food is pretty yummy and well prepared. It's really a small place that does mostly takeout. They have daily lunch specials (i.e., oxtails, carne guisada, ropa vieja, chicken, grilled fish, etc.), Cuban sandwiches, tropical smoothies, stuffed arepas, empanadas, croquetas and all the usual sides. I think this is what you're looking for. They don't have a website....their address is 5550 NW 31st Avenue at the corner of Prospect Road.
