fresh paddy straw mushrooms in nyc?

Is it possible to find fresh paddy straw mushrooms in new york city? I spent most of yesterday scouring every back-ally produce market in chinatown but could only find them dried and canned. Is that what the Asian restaurants use? Any ideas?
