Dinner with Work Folks- Downtown to Century City- Expense account! Fun Vibe Amazing Food

Ok, title says it all. A bunch of folks from my company are coming to town in June for a show at the convention center. Would love to take them somewhere trendy, yummy, with a very fun vibe and amazing food. We'll be at the convention center, but staying in Century City, so willing to travel around both areas.

Thanks in advance for your rec's. Its on an expense account so price isn't so much of an issue :)

Ortolan has amazing food and a semi private room that would probably seat up to 20 people.

If you are steak lovers you can't go wrong with Wolfgang Puck's Cut.

I personally like Crustacean in Beverly Hills especially if someone else is footing the bill. Bring the company's credit card because you'll need it.

You might just see what the latest Puck offering WP24 (on the 24th floor of the Ritz-Carlton with supposedly killer views) is all about at LA Live downtown (and report back after, please!).

In addition to WP 24, Spago is still, well, Spago. It may not look over the Sunset Strip any more (which ain't what it once was, either) but still...

The Bazaar is definitely the answer...unless molecular gastronomy in a high energy, upscale carnival-like setting is too hip and adventurous for your group. In which case, you might also consider Osteria Mozza.

i recently attended an event at Rock Sugar in Century City. We were about 12+ people. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food, ambience and service. I certainly had not expected this. Food was damn good . Service was remarkable. Moreover, they pour a very fine martini. This is a restaurant I would never have considered on my own. Given that I was invited to a private party, I accepted the invitation. I believe that all guests were very happy.

I agree that Rock Sugar is surprisingly decent, especially considering it's relationship with Cheesecake Factory, but I think one of the last places I would consider taking a group of out-of-towners where money was no object. Maybe I'm just biased against it since I have to go more often than I would like since I work nearby, though :).

                +1 on Craft
                +1 on the Bazaar

I would take them to Saam the Bazaar. It's a short drive from Century City to La Cienega.

                      Downtown: Rivera or Drago Centro.
                      Century City: Craft.
