Drinks/Bar Scene after Zaytinya?
Hello, I need help figuring out where to take a group of friends in town from New York after our 8:30 reservation at Zaytinya this Thursday night, May 13th.
I'm thinking of a bar/lounge scene. Does Ping Pong Dim Sum or Oya have lounge seating? There will be six of us so do not wish to go anyplace too crowded or where it may be difficult to get in. I am also open to hopping a taxi some place- what's 18th Street like on a Thursday?
Thanks!

The bar at Zaytinya is always a scene... I would second PS7 and add Proof for closer to the end of night for a more relaxing scene. You might also consider Zengo, their lounge is pretty big and they have good drinks (not as good as PS7 though). Poste is also nice for the patio.

Since moving to Chinatown, popular lounge spots include PS7 and Zoya. Can't speak for Ping Pong, but Oya does have a bar, although it's not where I'd pick. I like the bar at Jaleo also.
There are some OK divey bars, like Iron Horse, and I love the Passenger if you're willing to walk a bit north.
But if you're really put out by the idea of it being busy (not difficult to get, but difficult to all get bar stools, etc.), then I think 18th St would be a better bet. I like 18th St Lounge, but try out Science Club.
