Tom Yum Koong has decent, though not great, Thai food. The service is excellent, and the people who run it are very friendly.

Raso's is a terrific mid-priced Italian/American restaurant down on Mystic Ave. Parking is a pain (you often have to find a street spot nearby), but it's a great place.

Although a chain, the Not Your Average Joe's in Station Landing has very good American food (and terrific homemade butterscotch pudding!), and like the places mentioned above, has very good service.

Wonder Taste has some very authentic Chinese food (a little too authentic for my taste), as well as decent Americanized dishes like General Gao's Chicken.

Another user mentioned Moulton's. I think it's only okay as a restaurant, but it's a great fish/shellfish market, with very fresh product (warning: closed on Sundays).

If you're in the mood for pizza, there's a Pizzeria Regina in Station Landing (also a Kelly's Roast Beef). I'm also a fan of Espresso Pizza in Medford Hillside (try a pizza with double dough and onion - not for everyone, but I love it).

Thanks. Also, I should refine my question to places that are open Saturdays for lunch. BTW - How is Coleen's? Is it just a converted Brigham's?

All but Il Faro and B5 are open for lunch. Additionally, I enjoyed my one visit to the lunch buffet at Kabab Korner--standard menu but dishes did not all taste the same, and cheap. Apparently you can get some made food at Ebisuya Market. What I've had from Colleen's--sandwiches--has been fine, not the sort of thing that I go for normally--raspberry lime rickeys are good.

Wonder Taste has changed the menu since opening (and maybe ownership/chef?), it's still Cantonese but less interesting; what I've had has been nicely cooked. They have rice plates available all day. I believe the original cook at Tom Yum Koong went to the Arlington location (when I ordered son-in-law eggs I was told they had them in Arlington but not Medford) and the food has gone down a notch (wild boar basil ordered extra spicy used to be very good with lots of green peppercorns; last order was just all right, and hardly any peppercorns).

Yes, Colleen's used to be a Brigham's. You will find sandwiches, etc. there, but there is no grill. No drinks either.
