Bennington Special Birthday in July - Pangaea, Four Chimneys, or Something Else?
We're planning a small family gathering in July to celebrate a special birthday for a senior member of the family. There will be five of us, and we're staying at Bennington's Paradise Inn.
We're looking for a place for a special dinner and need suggestions. Four Chimneys and Pangaea were our first considerations, and we're wondering about others' opinions as to the the merits of either or both, as well as any other suggestions for a fine dining experience. In our party are a vegetarian, a meat and potatoes person, and the rest are eclectic diners. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I've never had anything more than drinks at the Four Chimneys and that was ages ago. But, I've never had a bad experience at Pangaea, which is usually our first choice when we go out locally. The folks who own Pangaea also own Allegro Restaurant in downtown Bennington. I've not eaten there but have heard great things from friends.
