RIP, Potato Buds.

Anyone know of a brand that comes close to the old, good Potato Buds? The new ones just suck.

have you tried Idahoan? maybe someone who has can chime in with an opinion.

Their 2nd ingredient is partially hydrogenated oil, so I wouldn't even consider it. Wish FDA would start requiring trans fat to be listed in milligrams.

anyone who's familiar with my posts knows that's absolutely not something i'd recommend if i had seen the ingredient list! you must be talking about the flavored ones - i only looked up the info for the Original flavor and there's no partially hydrogenated oil in there...

"Idaho Potatoes, Mono and Diglycerides, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Sodium Bisulfate, Citric Acid and Mixed Tocopherols Added to Protect Freshness."

same standard preservatives and texture enhancers found in all these things, including Potato Buds.

Ahh, I just clicked through to your link and somehow found a 'butter' flavor variant or something. I'll check out the regular ones.
